Our Therapy

Individual Therapy

Depression, fear, and anxiety are some of the most common and uncomfortable emotions that we can experience at some point in our lives. Through counseling and treatment, we are able to help you recover motivation, perspective, and joy that you once had in your life.  Many individuals can experience symptoms associated with painful and traumatic circumstances. Anxiety, fear, and hopelessness are a few emotions that can linger post traumatic events. We can help you overcome these symptoms and guide you through the process of grief and healing.

IFS, or Internal Family Systems, is a psychotherapeutic approach developed by Dr. Richard Schwartz. It views the mind as a complex system of parts, each with unique feelings, desires, and roles. According to IFS, these parts can be categorized into three main types: Managers, Exiles, and Firefighters. Managers try to maintain control, Exiles store emotional pain and vulnerability, while Firefighters act impulsively to distract from distressing emotions.

The key concept in IFS is the Self, representing the core, compassionate, and calm aspect of an individual. The therapeutic process involves accessing the Self to help parts heal and integrate, fostering internal harmony. Through dialogue and exploration, individuals can better understand and transform their internal dynamics, leading to improved emotional well-being. IFS has gained popularity for its non-pathologizing and empowering approach to self-discovery and healing.
